Variety/ Talent Contest

CHECK IN 30 minutes prior to performance time.

Thank you for participating in our Columbus County Fair Variety/Talent Contest. I would like to inform you of some important information and details about our evening.

 

RULES

• All entrants must sign the waiver

• ACCOMPANIMENT MUSIC MUST BE ON CD-R IF BURNED FROM A COMPUTER. 

• CD-RW WILL NOT WORK ON OUR EQUIPMENT. CD'S MUST BE IN A SLEEVE.

• Your name will be on a list inside the single gate to the right of the ticket booth. 15 and younger includes a chaperone pass. 16 and up includes one individual pass only.

• The contest will be held on STAGE. When you are given your pass at the gate, the stage will be to your left.

 

PERFORMANCE TIME IS AS FOLLOWS:

Friday, 7:00 pm

Division #1 - 6 years and younger and Division #2 ages 7-12 years

Saturday, 5:30 pm

Divisions #3 ages 13-15 and Division #4 ages 16 and older

 

Trophies will be awarded eachnight following all division performances.

 

• Check in with Kathy Faulk IMMEDIATELY AFTER ENTERING at the rear of the stage at least 30 minutes prior to show times. You will need to provide your music. A sticker with your performing number will be placed on accompaniment tracks (if applicable) which matches your order of appearance and a schedule will be given to you ALONG WITH A CARD WITH YOUR PERFORMING NUMBER AND  NAME TO BE GIVEN TO THE JUDGES AS YOU GO UP ON STAGE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR  PICK UP YOUR TRACKS AFTER THE CONTEST.

• If at the time of your performance your name is called and you are not there, you will automatically be eliminated.

• 3 minute limit on performances. Judges will be timing and score could be affected.

• Should any performance contain VULGARITY, PROFANITY OR SEXUAL RELATED CONTENT sound will be turned off immediately and you will be asked to leave the stage.
